Location: Stockport

Salary: Up to £19.27 per hour + Premium Overtime

Hours: 35 hours per week

THE ROLE

We’re working with a well-established subcontract precision engineering business in Stockport who are looking to strengthen their machining team with an experienced 5 Axis CNC Machinist.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy, well-invested shopfloor environment producing high-quality components for a range of industries. The company has a strong order book and offers consistent overtime for those looking to maximise earnings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set, operate and ideally program 5 axis CNC milling machines
• Work from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances
• Machine complex, high-precision components in a subcontract environment
• Carry out in-process inspection to ensure quality standards are metMaintain machines and ensure efficient production output
• Support continuous improvement and shopfloor best practice

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience operating 5 axis CNC milling machines
• Strong experience with Heidenhain controls (essential)
• Background in subcontract / precision engineering environments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

WHAT’S ON OFFER

• Up to £19.27 per hour (depending on experience)
• 35 hour basic working week
• Overtime available at premium rates
