CNC Miller and Turners – North Nottingham – Permanent – Circa £16 per hour + Shift Premium

EMBS Engineering is recruiting a skilled CNC Miller to join a precision engineering company located in North Nottingham. The role is permanent and offers a competitive hourly rate with shift premium.

  • Various shifts available:
    • Days with early finish Fridays
    • Weekend Days (Friday to Sunday 6am – 6pm)
    • Weekend Nights (Friday to Sunday 6pm – 6am)
    • Day/Night Rotation (Day Shift: Monday – Thursday, 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-12pm; Night Shift: Monday – Wednesday, 8pm-6am, Thursday 8pm-5am)

  • Overtime available at premium rates (x1.5 after 39 hours and x2 on Sundays)

Your responsibilities include

  • Setting and operating multi‑axis CNC milling machines
  • Machining small to medium‑sized complex parts using materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, and titanium for precision industries (aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, etc.)
  • Machining to tight tolerances
  • Working from engineering drawings

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC machinist – milling
  • Experience setting up and operating multi‑axis CNC machines
  • Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol, Heidenhain, or Siemens control panels
  • Previous experience machining complex parts for precision industries (aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, MOD, oil and gas, etc.)
  • Experience with aluminium, stainless steel, and titanium
  • Experience machining to tight tolerances
  • Confidence working with small to medium‑sized components
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently
