Pattern Maker
Seeking a skilled Pattern Maker to join within an R&D capacity for an upholstery manufacturing business.
This is a precise pattern making / seat trimming environment. Relevant experience within a similar industry (such as furniture making or automotive interiors) is required.

We are currently recruiting for a Seat Trimmer / Pattern Maker to join a growing, engineering SME. The company specializes in military seating manufacturing and have recently secured several big contracts. As a Trimmer, you will have the chance to work within a specialist R&D environment which focusses on developing patterns to design specifications. This role is hands on and builds aspects of cutting, trimming, sewing and pattern making.
Salary & Hours: c£30,000 to £35,000 as a guide. Days based role – 8:00am to 5:00pm Mon – Thurs, and a 8:00am – 1:30pm finish on a Friday. Overtime paid at x1.5. 23 days holiday + banks.
This Pattern Maker job will suit:
- Proven experience within pattern making or trimming of upholstery materials.
- Comfortable working from technical drawings to develop new patterns.
- Excellent dexterity and craftsmanship to develop high quality products.

The Pattern Maker job will involve:
- Develop and interpret seat patterns based on design specifications.
- Cut, sew and trim upholstery materials accurately to match the seat patterns.
- Operate sewing machinery to assemble seat covers and components.
- Working closely with the design and production teams to refine pattern designs.
