Property Adjuster – Sheffield/Lincoln/Doncaster

Overview

As a Domestic Loss Adjuster, you will manage a caseload of domestic property damage claims in the Sheffield, Lincoln, and Doncaster area, including visiting claimants’ homes, coordinating contractor visits, and settling claims. You will perform claims investigations, prepare reports, and communicate with policyholders, insurers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit claimant properties to assess damage and collect evidence.
  • Coordinate visits from contractors and negotiate fair settlements.
  • Prepare comprehensive claim reports and submit them for review.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage multiple claims concurrently.
  • Communicate effectively with all parties involved.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A full UK driving licence. Essential to travel by car.
  • Insurance knowledge. Understanding of home insurance policies and domestic property basics.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to explain complex details and negotiate settlements.
  • Problem‑solving abilities. Identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Time management. Plan weekly schedule, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

What is helpful but not vital

  • Experience with Apple iPads or other tablet software.
