Mechanical Fitter

Quaker Houghton is a global leader present in people’s lives by providing solutions to the main industries in today’s economy such as automotive, aerospace, aluminum & steel. This role is based at Aberdeen.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The Mechanical Fitter will function iin the Fluid Intelligence production department.

Tasks

• Assembling mechanical and/or Air operated components into finished products from sub-assemblies by following engineering drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assemble parts, sub-assemblies, or completed units using tools like torque wrenches, spanners, sockets, and pneumatic guns.
• Interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, and process sheets.
• Perform routine, in-process, and final quality checks to ensure components align and function to specifications.
• Adhere to Company Health & Safety (H&S) regulations, including COSHH, and maintain a clean 5S workspace.

Requirements

• Assembly experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings & work autonomously.
