Great Basin Industrial is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer / Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating various machinery and performing general labor duties to support manufacturing and production processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assist in setup, operation, and monitoring of machines during production runs.
- Perform general labor tasks including loading/unloading materials, cleaning, and organizing the work area.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating machinery or working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and repetitive movements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to adhere to safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are required.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and any other required assessments.
Physical Demands
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods (8–12+ hour shifts).
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for prolonged periods.
- Reach overhead and work with arms extended.
- Climb ladders, work in manlifts up to 25 feet above ground.
- Work in confined spaces and at elevated heights when required.
Work Environment
- Exposure to dust, noise, and industrial hazards.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
Schedule Requirements
- Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, or swing shifts as needed to meet project deadlines.
