Marine Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, commission, and perform annual and 5‑year services on lifeboats, davit/winch systems, and PALFINGER cranes.
• Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in the field.
• Read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Complete clear, accurate service reports and required documentation.
• Communicate job status and progress with the Service Coordinator/Manager and support assembly or production activities when needed.

Qualifications

• A strong technical background with hands‑on experience in hydraulic and mechanical/electromechanical systems.
• Experience in the marine or offshore industry (preferred).
• Solid theoretical knowledge of cranes, hydraulics, and electrical systems in marine or fishing environments.
• Willingness to travel and a strong commitment to working safely in line with HSE guidelines.
• Clear communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
