Heavy Plant Workshop Engineer – Vacuum Excavation Equipment

Monday-Friday | 7:30am-5:00pm

45‑hour week

£40,000+ DOE

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Workshop Engineer to join a busy workshop team working on vacuum excavation equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to carry out servicing, maintenance, and fault finding independently
• NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification advantageous
• Full UK driving licence preferred

Role

• Workshop‑based maintenance and repair of vacuum excavation machinery
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
• Routine servicing and inspections
• Ensuring equipment is maintained to high safety standards

Ideal backgrounds include

• Excavators
• Construction plant
• Recycling equipment
• HGV/plant mixed fleet
• Specialist utility or suction excavation equipment
