Role: Paint Line Operative

Hours: Full time

Salary: £16.00ph-£17.00ph

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for aPaint Line Operativeto join our clients successful team.

Duties of a Paint Line Operative:

• Set up and operate CNC punch press machinery in accordance with job specifications.
• Configure machine programs, tooling, and dies based on technical drawings and production requirements.
• Load sheet metal materials safely and ensure correct alignment and positioning.
• Perform test runs and make adjustments to achieve accurate cuts, shapes, and hole patterns.
• Monitor machine performance throughout production and respond to alarms or irregularities.

What we would like from you:

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience operating CNC punch press machinery, with the ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Industry Experience: Typically 1-3 years of hands‑on experience in sheet‑metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with CAM programming software such as Amada AP100, BySoft, or equivalent systems used for punch press setup and nesting.
• Mechanical & Measurement Skills: Competent use of measuring tools (calipers, gauges, rulers) and strong understanding of tooling, dies, and material behaviour.
• Problem‑Solving Ability: Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and adjust settings for accuracy.
