Welder Fabricator

We’re hiring for a Welder Fabricator to join a well-established engineering business in Glossop, working on a mix of repair, maintenance and bespoke fabrication projects.

This is a varied, workshop-based role suited to someone confident with MIG welding, fabrication and working from drawings, who enjoys hands‑on work across different materials and projects.

What’s on offer?

• £16.00 – £18.00 per hour
• Mon – Thurs | 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Fri | 7:30am – 5:00pm
• Overtime available at 1.5x
• 20 days holiday + banks (rising with service)

What will you be doing as a Welder Fabricator?

• Carrying out MIG welding (majority of work)
• Supporting TIG and occasional stick welding
• Fabricating using stainless and mild steel (varied thicknesses)
• Working from drawings, samples, or existing components
• Operating workshop machinery (press brake, guillotine, punch)
• Measuring, cutting, folding, and forming materials
• Producing bespoke items such as railings, stairs, doors, and equipment
• Supporting repair and maintenance work on existing component

What will you need?

• Strong experience in welding and fabrication (essential)
• Confident with MIG welding and general fabrication work
• Ability to work from drawings or replicate from samples
• Experience using workshop machinery and tools
• A hands‑on, reliable approach with good attention to detail
• NVQ Level 3 (desirable)
