Hours: Nights or Double Days, 38‑hour week

Overview

EMBS Engineering is recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join a precision engineering company located in Leicester on a permanent basis.

All candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run machines to meet customer specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and ensure parts are manufactured in line with quality requirements
• Use manual measuring equipment such as verniers, calipers, micrometres, etc., to ensure parts meet customer requirements

Qualifications

• Strong experience within a machining role
• Ability to operate machines, including CNCs, manual machines, presses, or other types
• Previous experience with precision engineering components (aerospace, automotive, defence, etc.)
• Confidence in performing self‑inspection of parts using manual measuring equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (Metric or Imperial)
