Degree Apprenticeship – Quantity Surveyor

We are now offering an exciting opportunity to join our Quantity Surveying Apprenticeship Programme, designed to develop the next generation of construction professionals.
This role is based within our North Team at our Workington office and provides a structured pathway to becoming a degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor, combining practical experience with academic learning in a supportive and friendly environment.
About the Programme
You will begin by working towards a Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying qualification, with progression to a fully funded Level 6 Degree.
Throughout the programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience while building the technical and commercial skills needed to succeed in the construction industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the team, you will support the successful delivery of projects by learning and contributing to:
Contractual & Financial ManagementAssisting with managing project costs, budgets, and financial performance, including materials, goods, and subcontracted workProcurementSupporting the selection and negotiation of subcontractors and suppliersStakeholder ManagementBuilding relationships with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors, including participation in meetingsTeamworkWorking closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors, gaining practical knowledge in a collaborative team environmentTechnology: Learning how to use our Oneserve/Coins software to record and track completed worksWhat’s in it for You

We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and develop in a commercial role within construction.
Ideally, you will have: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4–9 / A*–C), A Levels or a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent), Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
You will also:
Have a strong work ethic and positive attitudeBe keen to learn and develop new skillsHave good communication and teamwork abilitiesHold a full UK driving licencePlease note: A DBS check will be required for this role.
Please note: This apprenticeship is not suitable for candidates who already hold (or are studying towards) a BA Hons in Quantity Surveying
