CNC Machinist

Robot Cell Setter / Operator

An automotive component manufacturer based in Witham is looking for a CNC Machinist who will program, set and operate a 6-axis Robot. The role is temporary-to-permanent, with an hourly rate up to £20.40 and a shift from 1:30 pm to 12 midnight Monday‑Friday.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set a 6-axis KUKA KRC2 Robot cell
• Program and prove new components on the robot cell from master panels
• Work with a variety of materials – aluminium, carbon‑fiber, epoxy tool boards
• Collaborate with the machine shop to meet delivery schedules
• Set and operate a 3-axis vertical machine centre
• Set and operate 5-axis universal machining centres
• Deburr and manually finish parts
• Cut and prepare materials

Qualifications

• Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls
• Good understanding of machining and programming techniques
• Strong engineering background
• Keen eye for detail
• Flexibility to work across the machine shop
