Description
As Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance function across day-to-day accounting activities, month-end processes, reporting, and reconciliations. You will work closely with senior finance staff and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
- Preparing bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities
- Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assisting with audits and compliance requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controls
Profile
- Around 2 years’ experience within a finance or accounts role
- AAT qualified or currently studying CIMA/AAT
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Confident using Excel and accounting systems
- Eager to learn and progress within an accounting career
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
