Apply4U is hiring on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their finance team remotely. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their accounting career while working from home.
About the Role
As a Remote Accounts Assistant, you’ll support day-to-day financial operations including invoice processing, bank reconciliation, and assisting with month-end reporting. You’ll work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance in all accounting records.
Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and on time
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain up-to-date financial records
- Assist with payroll preparation and expense claims
- Support with month-end journals and reports
- Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
- Maintain organised digital files for all transactions
Qualifications
AAT Level 2 or 3 (or currently studying) preferred
Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting support is a plus
Required Skills
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
Preferred Skills
Experience with VAT returns or payroll processing (desirable but not required)
