Role Description

This is a full‑time, Accounts & Royalties Assistant role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Accounts & Royalties Assistant will report directly to the Finance Manager and support day‑to‑day finance operations, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing weekly payment runs. The role will assist with managing royalty statements, administer contracts within BiblioSuite, produce monthly royalty reports, and prepare payments to authors and agents. Responsibilities include supporting credit control by monitoring outstanding balances, sending reminders, and updating records in a timely manner. The Accounts & Royalties Assistant will also help prepare reports for management, liaise with colleagues and external partners to resolve queries, and maintain accurate, well‑organized financial documentation.

Person Specification

  • Demonstrable experience in a bookkeeping or finance assistant role
  • Strong working knowledge of royalty recording, processing, and payments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with high attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise across departments
  • Prior experience in publishing or media
  • Experience with Xero or equivalent accounting software
  • Familiarity with BiblioSuite or a comparable publishing management system
  • Exposure to multi‑currency or cross‑border (UK/US) accounting
