About the job

Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator, working at the forefront of the fight to combat climate change and transform how energy is generated and delivered, driving the shift toward low‑carbon infrastructure that will power the future. We’re looking for a number of Policy Advisors (Carbon Capture & Storage and Nuclear) to join us and help shape and influence the regulatory frameworks that will underpin some of the UK’s most critical energy projects.

We offer three permanent opportunities to work on high‑profile, nationally significant programmes that are central to the UK’s Net Zero ambitions. You’ll be part of work that directly supports the development of new and evolving low‑carbon sectors, helping to shape how these markets operate now and in the future. Operating within a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment, you’ll influence current regulatory approaches and long‑term system transformation.

These roles sit within the Low Carbon Regulated Asset Base team, offering a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of new regulatory regimes. Whether supporting Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) or Nuclear frameworks, you’ll play a visible role across industry and government, contributing to the development of critical infrastructure and helping to ensure these sectors deliver for consumers and the wider economy.
