Job Description:

One of the key priorities at LPPI is ensuring that our people work every day in an empowered, supportive, diverse and inclusive culture. Practically, this means recognising and valuing the uniqueness of every individual in terms of background, experience, beliefs and circumstances. This starts with the recruitment process, where we partner with agencies that share our common goal and advertise on a variety of job boards to access the broadest spectrum of candidates. And once successful applicants are on board, we trust our people to work in the way that works best for them, which typically involves a mix of office and home working plus an engagement model to ensure frequent two-way feedback.

We are very proud of our culture at LPPI and the benefits it brings to both our people and the business. But don’t just take our word for it! Recently, we invited our entire workforce to describe in three words what is great about us, and they said – our people, flexibility and collaboration.

Role Purpose

The Real Assets team invests across public and private markets, including infrastructure and real estate, working closely with colleagues across LPPI to deliver strong client outcomes within a collaborative, high-performance and inclusive culture.

Within this platform, the Real Estate team manages a global portfolio of direct and indirect real estate investments across residential, industrial, office, retail and alternative sectors. The team is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and monitoring external managers and investment vehicles, including funds, joint ventures and co-investments.

The LPPI Real Estate Fund, valued at approximately £1.8 billion and growing, comprises a diversified international portfolio of directly owned assets and indirect fund commitments across multiple real estate asset classes.

As the Real Assets business continues to grow, the Real Estate team is seeking a 12-month placement student to support its activities. The role calls for strong collaboration skills, the ability to translate complex information into clear insights, and a willingness to contribute across several workstreams simultaneously.

The Trainee Analyst 12-month placement role offers an introduction to Real Assets investing, with a focus on developing core investment, analytical and portfolio monitoring skills. Working alongside Senior Analysts, you will help with monitoring existing investments, supporting underwriting processes, contributing to portfolio reporting and engaging in ESG integration. The placement provides a structured environment to learn, gain practical experience and build the foundations for future progression in investment roles.

This role offers significant learning opportunities, including mentorship, exposure to managers, training in modelling, ESG, underwriting and monitoring, and a pathway to Analyst level.
