Job Position

Clerical Officer – Boothroyd Day Care Administration Team, Dewsbury Hospital.

Full time, Monday to Friday.

About The Role

Join our friendly professional administration team at Dewsbury Hospital. You will work as part of a multi-skilled team providing a range of administration and clerical services.

Main Duties

  • Provide efficient customer service dealing with enquiries from patients, carers, medical staff, the multi‑disciplinary team and General Practitioners.
  • Effectively utilise the Trust’s information systems.
  • Arrange follow up appointments on the Trust’s information systems as per standard operating procedures.
  • Perform general receptionist duties.
  • Handle telephone appointments.
  • Maintain departmental filing systems.

Qualifications

Essential person specification requirements:

  • Good general education, including GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths.

Experience:

  • Experience of working with filing systems.
  • Experience of good customer or patient care.
  • Experience working with IT systems.

Knowledge and Awareness:

  • Confidentiality.
  • Aware of own limitations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Keyboard skills.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Demonstrate effective and clear written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
  • Work with demanding workloads and prioritise tasks.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Willingness to take on tasks.
