MYN is currently recruiting experienced and passionate Family Help Social Workers to join high‑performing Children’s Services teams in Weymouth in Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to join an Outstanding Ofsted‑rated local authority at the forefront of national reform, helping shape the future of family support through innovative, relationship‑based practice.

The Opportunity

You will join a progressive Family Help Team supporting children and families across the full continuum of need, from early help through to court proceedings.

Key responsibilities include

• Completing high‑quality assessments and care plans
• Managing Child in Need and Child Protection plans
• Supporting pre‑proceedings and court work
• Delivering direct, meaningful work with children and families
• Building resilience through restorative and strengths‑based practice
• Preparing clear, evidence‑based reports
• Chairing multi‑agency meetings
• Working collaboratively with education, health, police and community partners
• Maintaining accurate case records

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
• Minimum 3 years’ post‑qualification experience within English Local Authorities
• Strong experience within statutory children’s services
• Confident managing complex safeguarding and court work
• Excellent assessment, analytical and partnership working skills
• A resilient, compassionate and child‑centred approach
• Ability to travel across Dorset as required
