Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact with higher education institutions and internal stakeholders for the coordination of review meetings and management of workplace rotations.
  • Support delivery of all Student Officer entry programmes by monitoring progression, operational performance, and welfare needs of Student Officers, and share information with relevant partners.
  • Plan and facilitate regular tri‑partite and bi‑partite review meetings, gather information from operational parties, and support overall monitoring of progress and performance.
  • Foster and develop positive working relationships with participants in reviews, highlighting service improvements and ensuring process informs programme development.
  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to support performance reviews and ensure the appropriate support level is provided to Student Officers.
  • Identify and highlight progress, performance, or health & wellbeing matters during reviews; coordinate support measures and follow up to implement them.
  • Coordinate pastoral support for Student Officers and ensure any required supportive measures are put in place by the Force and the Higher Education Institute.
  • Advise workplace coaches on learning and assessment processes, supporting the Manager as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Student Officer progress across all entry methods, in line with agreed practices.
  • Review internal system Onefile, run reports, and undertake other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility and grading of the post.

Special Conditions

  • Occasional weekend and evening working.
  • Casual car user.
  • Regular travel throughout Warwickshire.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification or above, including Maths and English at GCSE pass level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning, coaching and development of learners within the workplace.
  • Awareness of safeguarding considerations when working with new employees.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures (desirable).

Experience

  • Experience interacting with other professional bodies or representatives.
  • Experience dealing with administrative processes.
  • Experience retrieving statistical information.
  • Experience working as part of a team in a learning environment.
  • Experience working with and providing support for students on initial learning and/or apprenticeship programmes.
  • Experience of partnership working, particularly with external awarding organisations or bodies.
