Role
Band 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes. All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements, and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
This is an important front‑facing role within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, providing high quality clerical and reception support to community and primary care services. You will be one of the first points of contact for patients, families, visitors and staff, helping to ensure a welcoming, organised and professional service environment. Working as part of a supportive Business Support Team, you will help keep services running smoothly through accurate administration and effective communication. This role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a real difference to patient experience every day.

- Wednesdays 14:30 to 16:45, Thursdays 08:00 to 16:47 and Fridays 08:00 to 16.45
- Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a courteous and professional reception service for patients, visitors and staff
- Deal confidently with face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries, resolving or redirecting as appropriate
- Arrange and manage appointments, room bookings and interpreter requests
- Accurately input clinical and administrative data onto relevant electronic systems
- Maintain, retrieve and archive health records in line with confidentiality and data protection requirements
- Support meetings through preparation of agendas, notes and follow up actions
- Assist with general administrative tasks including mail handling, copying, scanning and stock control
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of working in an office, clerical or customer facing environment
- Competence in the use of IT systems including email, word processing and basic spreadsheets
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal sensitively with patients and the public
- Understanding of confidentiality, data protection and information governance principles
- Ability to organise workload, manage competing priorities and work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexibly and provide cross cover within the wider Business Support Team
- Commitment to learning through induction, training and ongoing development
