About the role

West Berkshire is seeking an experienced and proactive Social Worker to join its Family Safeguarding Team. This role focuses on supporting children and families where safeguarding concerns are present, ensuring timely interventions and positive outcomes.

Role Overview

• Manage a caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding support
• Undertake assessments, planning, and intervention in line with statutory requirements
• Carry out home visits and direct work with children and families
• Respond to emergencies and safeguarding concerns as they arise
• Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to ensure coordinated support
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case records
