Job Summary
We are looking for a personal care assistant for our client who is a 45-year-old woman with a long‑term physical disability. The client currently has a team of carers and is looking for another person to join the team to help maintain her independence at home and while out and about.
Key Details
- Occupational Requirement: Female only (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9)
- Hours: 24 hours per week (negotiable)
- Pay: £12.60 per hour
- Contract: Permanent
- Driver essential
- PVG Membership required or willingness to apply
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and mobility
- Drive the client’s own vehicle for outings
- Help with daily routines and independence at home
- Cover shifts flexibly, including sleepovers
- Provide companionship and consistent support
Qualifications
- Experience in personal care is helpful but not required
- Must have a caring, honest, kind and flexible attitude
- Good sense of humour, reliability, positive outlook and can‑do approach
- Experience within the area would be of benefit but is not essential
Expectations
The right person for this role will be flexible with time as there is holiday and emergency cover available. Times and days will be discussed and agreed with the applicant.
