Job Description:
Occupational Requirement: Female only (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9).
Hours: Up to 4 hours per week (weekends).
Contract: Permanent.
PVG Membership required or willingness to apply.
We’re looking for a kind, reliable, and patient personal assistant to support a cheerful 6-year-old boy at weekends. He’s non-verbal but expressive, and he enjoys music, animals, art, and outdoor play.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (eczema cream, assistance in buggy)
- Keep the child safe (supervise closely due to risk of running off or going with strangers)
- Support with emergency oral medication for allergies
- Offer comfort and reassurance (hugs when distressed)
- Engage in outdoor and sensory activities
- Maintain a clean vehicle environment (due to allergies)
The family prefers a non-smoker.
You should have a good sense of humour, be vigilant, and have a caring, flexible approach. Ideally, you can coordinate hours with a second assistant supporting the child’s brother.
