Responsibilities
This role provides administrative and reception support to the Security Services team. The postholder will act as a first point of contact for staff, patients, visitors and contractors, delivering a professional and courteous service. The duties include undertaking a range of administrative and reception-based responsibilities within the Security Services team, supporting the effective delivery of a safe and secure healthcare environment. The postholder will be responsible for issuing, administering and monitoring NHS identification cards and access passes, maintaining accurate records in accordance with data protection requirements. The role will involve operating and supporting electronic access control systems, processing access requests, and ensuring appropriate authorisation procedures are followed. The postholder will also receive, log and report faults and liaise with Security Officers, Estates, Facilities and other departments as required. The role includes responding to telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Good standard of general education.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience dealing with the public in a busy healthcare environment, both face‑to‑face and by telephone.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, maintain confidentiality and comply with NHS policies, procedures and standards.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.
