Consultant Radiologist – GU Imaging
We are seeking a full‑time (1.0 WTE) Consultant Radiologist with subspecialist interests in GU imaging for the UHD Trust.
Job Overview
Post holder will cover sessions at Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals as part of the on‑call arrangements for general radiology. The role supports HPB, GI and GU cancer services across Dorset, the New Forest and south Wiltshire.
Main Duties
- Provide specialist radiological interpretation for GU imaging cases.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including cancer MDTs and imaging meetings.
- Cover sessions at Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals and contribute to the on‑call rotation.
- Support service development and audit, in line with NHS modernisation agenda.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- FRCR or equivalent.
- Full GMC Registration with licence to practice; CCT or within six months of CCT, or CESR.
- Post‑graduate teaching and/or research qualifications.
Experience
- Broad experience in all aspects of radiology.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Subspecialty training in abdominal and/or genitourinary radiology.
- Knowledge of the NHS plan and modernisation agenda and implications for service development.
- Participation in subspecialty cancer MDTs and imaging meetings relevant to the role.
- Abdominal/GU imaging fellowship or other post‑CCT subspecialist experience.
Additional Information
Staff are expected to work flexibly across all Trust locations to meet service demands.
