Rate: £14.95 per hour

Client Profile

I am an adult with high-functioning Asperger’s Syndrome. I am looking for practical and social support. The practical support will include grocery shopping, meal preparation and house chores. I have a variety of interests including computers and the internet. I can drive, and enjoy walking, travelling, visiting the cinema and socialising.

Responsibilities

Assist the client with practical and social support including grocery shopping, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, and social activities.

Provide companionship and support in a manner that encourages independence.

Qualifications

• Friendly, good at communicating, includes use of positive body language and patience.
• Basic understanding of Asperger’s or autism spectrum is helpful.

Requirements

• Undergo a new PVG Disclosure; cost reimbursed in the first wage.
• Provide two reference contacts prior to appointment.
• Commit to a 6‑month probationary period with one week’s notice within that period if the post does not work out.
