Finance Director

A fast-growing, founder-led foodservice and distribution business is seeking a commercially focused Finance Director to support the next phase of operational and financial development.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an operationally strong finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, low-margin, service-driven environments.

The successful candidate will partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive commercial performance, improve operational visibility, strengthen controls, and support scalable growth across a multi-site operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive commercial and operational finance performance
• Improve margin visibility, profitability analysis, and cost control
• Lead cash flow, working capital, and forecasting processes
• Support operational efficiency across logistics, warehouse, procurement, and sales
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting, and governance
• Deliver KPI reporting and actionable management information
• Support systems, process improvement, and business integration initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally with operational and commercial teams

Ideal Background

• Finance leadership experience within foodservice, wholesale, FMCG, logistics, retail supply chain, or distribution
• Strong operational finance and commercial analysis capability
• Experience within entrepreneurial or founder-led businesses
• Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style
• Strong stakeholder engagement across operational teams
• Ability to balance commercial agility with financial discipline
