Position Overview

Join our HR team as a part‑time HR Administrator (20 hours per week) based at our Head Office in Leatherhead, Surrey. The role is permanent and offers a supportive charity environment focused on veterans’ mental health.

Employment Details

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Band 5, £31,049–£33,487 per annum (pro rata, dependent on experience) plus 5% Outer London Fringe Allowance.

Hours: Part‑time, 20 hours per week. Hybrid working available.

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high‑quality, efficient administrative service to the wider HR function, ensuring every stage of the employee lifecycle runs smoothly—from onboarding to ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with essential checks, including DBS, PVG, Access NI and professional registrations.
  • Work closely with the Payroll team to guarantee payroll processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the Payroll team in maintaining payroll records and handling queries from employees.
  • Assist in other HR projects and ad‑hoc administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in HR or administrative roles is desirable.
  • Familiarity with UK payroll and HR compliance procedures is a plus.
