Job Summary
As an Associate Director within our Restructuring Team you will support clients across the UK and beyond by managing case work, coaching team members, and driving business development while ensuring high quality deliverables and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of restructuring engagements with appropriate director and partner oversight.
- Engage stakeholders, propose commercial and innovative solutions, and prepare deliverables to the highest standards and accelerated timelines.
- Coach and mentor team members, providing timely feedback and creating opportunities for learning and development.
- Take responsibility for the progression of your own career and actively pursue professional growth.
- Proactively manage an external network, identify and pursue opportunities to win new work, and support marketing and business development activities.
- Ensure compliance, manage budgets and billing, and deliver profitable service in accordance with professional standards.
- Apply best practice regarding departmental procedures, risk management, and compliance, contributing to the team’s learning and development.
- Communicate effectively, manage and motivate multiple teams, balance competing demands, remove obstacles, and solve complex problems.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with post‑qualification experience directly relevant to restructuring.
- Preferred additional insolvency qualifications (CPI and/or JIEB).
- Experience managing projects or leading key workstreams on independent business reviews, short‑term cash‑flow reviews, accelerated sales processes, options analysis, contingency planning, or formal insolvency appointments.
- Experience acting as an expert witness and supporting creditors or companies.
- Responsible for supervising junior staff, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring risk is actively managed.
- Direct reporting to a lead partner or director, contributing to strategy and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated interest in building a networking and marketing presence within the restructuring market.
