Apply for the Resourcing Lead
Location: Aylesbury
Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Resourcing Lead to lead end-to-end recruitment for key service areas, drive service improvement, and help us attract and retain brilliant talent. You’ll combine expert recruitment knowledge with a customer‑first approach—creating a positive candidate journey and ensuring we hire the right people, in the right roles, at the right time

This is a key role within the Talent/HR&OD function, with scope to contribute to how we recruit and improve services. It’s an opportunity to lead change, innovate and build modern attraction strategies across multiple platforms within a diverse, supportive team environment focused on professional curiosity, development and shared success.

About the role

  • Lead and manage recruitment activity across permanent, fixed-term and temporary vacancies—supporting career development, redeployment and ‘grow our own’ approaches.
  • Own the candidate journey end-to-end, delivering a proactive, inclusive and high-quality experience for internal and external candidates.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to hiring managers and stakeholders, including best practice, legislation and process.
  • Use market insight, benchmarking and mapping to strengthen attraction for hard-to-fill and senior roles.
  • Drive continuous improvement—identifying process efficiencies, value for money opportunities and innovative ways of working (including using ServiceNow).
  • Work to agreed KPIs (e.g., time to hire and vacancy fill rates) and use data to spot trends, risks and barriers.
  • Support assessment activity (including assessment days and interviews) and represent the organisation at careers and promotional events.

About you

  • Substantial recruitment or resourcing experience in a large/complex organisation, with credibility to influence at all levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management, persuasion and negotiation skills, with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent organisation and time management, able to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence using data to tell the story—identifying trends, risks and opportunities to improve performance.
  • Strong digital capability, including use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems (e.g., ServiceNow/TalentLink or similar).
  • Experience supporting or delivering interviews and candidate assessment activity.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and/or relevant HR/recruitment qualification or equivalent experience.

We’re keen to hear from people whose approach reflects our PACT values and are adaptable, curious, collaborative and trustworthy with the ability to turn insight into action.

This post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare:

  • All unspent cautions and/or unspent convictions
