The Role
We are looking for a hands‑on and driven Warehouse Improvement Manager to join the business on a 3‑month fixed‑term contract. Working closely with the Operations Manager, this role will focus on enhancing warehouse efficiency by embedding processes, driving consistency, and supporting teams to meet operational KPIs.
This is a highly visible, shop‑floor‑based role requiring someone who can lead from the front, engage teams, and deliver practical improvements in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Operations Manager to improve day‑to‑day warehouse performance
- Embed and standardise processes and operational procedures
- Support teams in achieving KPIs, productivity, and service targets
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, driving engagement and accountability
- Manage and support team performance through coaching and leadership
- Identify inefficiencies and implement practical process improvements
- Support operational change initiatives and wider continuous improvement projects
- Monitor performance and implement corrective actions where required
- Promote a safety‑first culture across the site
- Collaborate with internal functions including Customer Service, Purchasing, and Sales
Skills & Experience
- Proven leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments
- Hands‑on management style with strong shop‑floor engagement
- Experience driving process improvements and operational change
- Strong people management and performance accountability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting change projects or system/process implementations
- Practical problem‑solver with a proactive approach
- Able to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
