Personal Assistant to a Disabled Child – 2 assistants required to support a 14‑year‑old boy on a 2:1 basis for 4 hours per week. Days to be mutually agreed. Support includes accompanying the child to various activities. Salary: £12.71 per hour. Location: Ross on Wye. Hours: 4 hours each engagement, 2:1 ratio.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the child to outings, soft play areas, and other activities.
• Provide support with personal care as needed.
• Ensure the child’s safety and comfort during all activities.
• Be prepared to respond calmly and appropriately if the child becomes distressed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Patient, calm, and able to remain firm but fair.
• Must possess a valid driver’s licence and own a car.
• Physically fit enough to escort and, when necessary, chase the child.

Benefits

Pay is £12.71 per hour, with payroll handled through a local direct payment scheme. Full responsibility for recruitment, contracts, supervision, and training is provided by the employer.
