Role Overview
Global Lab Informatics Sr. Associate is accountable for delivery and maintenance of Elanco global laboratory informatics systems, with primary emphasis on the implementation of LabVantage.
This position is a fixed‑duration role with an anticipated contract length of 3 years.
Responsibilities
- Provide program leadership and support established timelines, routine progress reports/metrics, and escalation of issues.
- Serve as key contact for site leadership and staff to ensure successful deployment of LabVantage, including negotiation of project priorities and elimination of barriers.
- Drive discovery and creation of master data, reports, dashboards, and other key LabVantage deliverables.
- Define and implement support strategy for sustainable lifecycle management of LabVantage.
- Collect key learning from deployment activities to incorporate improvements and best practices into downstream deployments.
- Ensure LabVantage solution remains in compliance with CSQ/CSV requirements.
- Define, develop, and implement business processes for effective use of LabVantage.
- Refine business requirements in collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders to maximize value from the IT solution.
- Represent business requirements in vendor discussions.
- Comply with all company local and global policies including Quality frameworks, Code of Conduct, Corporate Citizenship, anti‑discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies.
- Perform any other duties or serve in any other capacity as determined by Company management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, information technology, or other applicable scientific discipline.
- Previous laboratory experience within a regulated environment – exposure to external regulators such as USDA, FDA, VMD, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of laboratory operations and processes.
- Experience with use and/or implementation of LabVantage.
- Quantitative analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and a keen business sense.
- Ability to lead and support; proven track record of going the “extra mile” for internal stakeholders and team.
- Effective communication (written, verbal), presentation and facilitation skills.
- Interpersonal savvy; capacity to build strong senior relationships.
- Passion for excellence and desire to have a significant impact on the business.
- Highly self‑motivated and willing to proactively take on leadership roles within project teams and the company at large.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and drive change across an organization.
