If you’re commercially minded, naturally competitive, and motivated by building relationships rather than sitting behind a spreadsheet all day, this could be a strong first step into a long-term career within mergers and acquisitions.
A growing advisory business within the Professional Services space is looking to hire a Graduate Sales Broker to help identify and develop relationships with future business sellers across the UK market. The role focuses heavily on outbound relationship building within the legal and accountancy sectors, speaking with business owners, understanding motivations, and uncovering future opportunities before competitors even know they exist. Human beings have somehow turned buying and selling firms into an art form involving coffee, persistence, and LinkedIn stalking with better tailoring.
This is a full-time office-based opportunity offering structured mentoring, direct exposure to experienced dealmakers, and a genuine progression route into the world of corporate finance and M&A.
The Graduate Sales Broker role would suit someone who enjoys speaking with people, handles rejection well, and wants to build a commercially focused career where performance and personality matter.

- Researching and identifying prospective firms within the legal and accountancy markets
- Building new relationships with business owners and senior decision-makers across the UK
- Making outbound calls and introducing advisory services in a professional and credible way
- Developing long-term conversations with potential future sellers rather than hard-selling
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and relationship records
- Learning how deals are originated, qualified, and progressed within an M&A environment
- Working closely with experienced brokers and directors to develop commercial awareness
- Attending meetings and gradually taking on more responsibility as confidence grows
What they’re looking for
- A confident communicator who enjoys speaking with people
- Someone resilient, competitive, and motivated by targets and progression
- A graduate or early-career individual looking to build a long-term commercial career
- Strong relationship-building skills and a professional approach
- A genuine interest in business, sales, and the Professional Services market
- Someone based locally to Hemel Hempstead and comfortable with a full-time office environment
- Positive attitude, energy, and willingness to learn from experienced professionals
What’s on offer
- £25,000 basic salary plus commission structure
- Full training, mentoring, and structured development
- Exposure to live M&A activity and experienced dealmakers
- Clear progression route into senior brokerage and advisory roles

- Supportive and personable team environment
- Opportunity to build a strong commercial network early in your career
The Graduate Sales Broker position offers a rare route into the world of acquisitions and advisory without needing years of prior experience. The business has already developed several successful brokers internally and is looking for someone ambitious enough to follow the same path.
This opportunity is based in Hemel Hempstead and sits within the fast-moving Professional Services market, offering strong long-term progression for the right individual.
