CLINICAL LEAD – COMPLEX CARE & CASE MANAGEMENT (RGN)

Weston-super-Mare, Somerset

£45,000 – £50,000 per annum DOE

Full Time, Monday to Friday

JR Clinical Training & Case Management (JR CTCM) is a growing nurse‑led organisation providing specialist case management, direct employment management, clinical training, and expert care services to children and adults with complex health needs, catastrophic injuries, and disabilities throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead – Complex Care & Case Management to join our leadership team.

The Role

As Clinical Lead – Complex Care & Case Management, you will provide clinical oversight across our regulated services and support the continued growth of our case‑management provision. The role is primarily office‑based at our Weston‑super‑Mare office, with regular travel required to client homes, meetings, reviews, competency assessments, and community‑based services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical governance and quality assurance activities
  • Provide medication management oversight
  • Complete clinical audits and drive service improvements
  • Undertake competency assessments and provide clinical sign‑off
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to care teams
  • Review and develop policies, procedures and governance systems
  • Support incident investigations and lessons learned
  • Support compliance with CQC regulations and quality standards
  • Provide clinical advice and guidance across the organisation
  • Support complex care packages and regulated services
  • Undertake client visits, quality assurance reviews and package reviews
  • Work alongside case managers, families, deputies, solicitors and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Contribute to the growth and development of JR CTCM’s case‑management and complex care services

Working Arrangements

  • Primarily office‑based from our Weston‑super‑Mare office
  • Hybrid working available where appropriate
  • Regular travel to client homes, meetings, reviews and community settings
  • Monday to Friday working pattern
  • Participation in a shared senior management on‑call rota (approximately one week per month) following induction and competency sign‑off
  • No routine weekend working
  • No Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day working

Essential Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
  • Minimum five years post‑registration experience
  • Experience within complex care, community nursing, rehabilitation, brain injury, paediatrics, long‑term conditions, case‑management or healthcare leadership environments
  • Previous leadership, senior nurse, clinical lead, deputy manager or equivalent experience
  • Experience working alongside and supporting community‑based care teams
  • Experience undertaking competency assessments and supporting staff development
  • Experience supporting quality assurance, clinical governance, audits and service improvement
  • Experience reviewing and developing policies, procedures and governance systems
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
  • Excellent communication, report writing and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team
  • Understanding of CQC regulations, governance and quality standards
  • Experience working alongside multidisciplinary teams
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to travel as part of the role

Desirable Experience

  • Previous case‑management experience
  • Experience supporting case managers with complex client needs
  • Experience working alongside deputies, solicitors and Court of Protection teams
  • Knowledge of BABICM, CMSUK, rehabilitation pathways or case‑management services
  • Experience supporting individuals with catastrophic injuries, acquired brain injuries, cerebral palsy or other complex disabilities
