As a Senior Assistant Technical Officer for medical gases, you’ll help ensure the safe, efficient and accurate storage and rotation of medical gas cylinders across the hospital sites.
You will manage and supervise the medical gas cylinder stores, including expiry date checking, stock rotation, and segregation of used cylinders for re‑use, thereby reducing waste and supporting the Trust’s sustainability goals.
You will support, train and supervise other staff, and maintain high standards of safety and service.
You will be responsible for training and supporting porters in new processes in cylinder management as they are introduced, and support audits regarding medical gases, including security and efficiency of returning used cylinders.

This post can be cross‑site between Royal Sussex County in Brighton and Princess Royal in Haywards Heath, or part‑time positions each based at one of the sites.
