Overview
Full- or part-time optometrist positions are available in North Wales and surrounding areas. The role is Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling to accommodate family commitments. Applicants will travel from their postal address to visit patients in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Perform full clinical eye examinations in patients’ homes.
- Dispense medications and provide eye care advice.
- Use portable digital fundus cameras, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and a digital records system.
- Consult with the senior optometrist team at the Head Office for second opinions when needed.
- See 6-7 patients per day and maintain accurate records.
- Display a sympathetic, empathetic approach, especially for elderly and frail patients.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Registered optometrist with suitable qualifications.
- Strong interpersonal and empathy skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations and manage a daily patient schedule.
