Position Overview
Location: South England (Portsmouth focus). Hybrid working 1‑2 days in office, occasional site visits may be required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle.
- Build strong client relationships and support the business.
- Produce technical designs, calculations, and reports to British Standards and Eurocodes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and quality systems.
Qualifications
- Qualified Civil or Structural Engineer with an MEng background.
- Working towards Chartered status.
- Broad experience in civil engineering design and construction.
- Proven heavy civil experience.
- Strong technical expertise in structural and maritime design or similar industry experience.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and managing budgets.
- Must be a UK National and able to obtain SC‑level security clearance.
- Desirable: Familiarity with PIANC guidance and seismic design.
- Desirable: Experience with BIM, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, LUSAS, WALLAP, PLAXIS 2D.
- Desirable: Background in the nuclear industry and safety case documentation.
