Purpose
The Social Media & Marketing Executive plays a pivotal role in growing the firm’s digital presence, strengthening brand awareness and supporting business development across all practice areas.
Working closely with the marketing team, directors and fee‑earners, this individual will plan and deliver compelling content across social media platforms, manage digital campaigns and contribute to the overall marketing and PR strategy of the firm.
Main Responsibilities of the Role
- Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Plan, produce and schedule daily content across all the firm’s social media platforms, ensuring consistency of tone, branding and legal compliance.
- Drive social media growth and increase website traffic through targeted and engaging content.
- Create and manage paid social media advertising campaigns to generate leads and enhance brand awareness.
- Monitor, analyse and report on social media and digital marketing performance using analytics tools, translating data into actionable insights.
- Support SEO strategy through keyword‑optimised content and adherence to best‑practice guidelines.
- Create and distribute targeted email marketing campaigns to increase website traffic, nurture client relationships, and improve brand visibility.
- Ensure staff profiles and relevant web content are kept current, accurate and reflective of the firm’s services.
- Oversee the firm’s online review platforms, actively encouraging client reviews and responding professionally to feedback.
- Events & Business Development
- Assist in the production of advertising, promotional and publicity materials across both print and digital channels.
- Support the coordination and promotion of networking and marketing events, including preparation of events, marketing materials and event content.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Directors and key internal stakeholders to ensure marketing activity is aligned with business priorities.
- Reporting & Administration
- Compile regular marketing performance reports and present findings to senior management, highlighting trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of all marketing activities, campaigns and expenditure.
- Provide general marketing administration support as required by the team.
Key Skills Required
- Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, or a minimum of 1 year of digital marketing experience.
- Demonstrable experience managing business social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, TikTok and Facebook).
- Skills
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills, with an ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms.
- Proficiency with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Buffer, Meta Business Suite).
- Creative thinker who can translate complex legal topics into accessible and engaging content.
- Advanced graphic design skills using Canva or similar tools.
- Experience with email marketing platforms.
- Understanding of SEO principles and Google Analytics.
