Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex drainage projects, including Sc104 and Sc278 Drainage Schemes.
- Plan and deliver drainage feasibility studies, drainage strategies, and flood risk assessments.
- Act as project manager for infrastructure projects, managing procurement and specification writing.
- Provide business development support by developing proposals and winning new work.
- Mentor and coach early‑career engineers and support senior staff across the organisation.
- Contribute to the strategic direction, planning and development of the Transport Engineering team.
- Work collaboratively with other SLR disciplines including Advisory, Environmental Management and Compliance, Land and Water, and Environmental Specialist Services.
- Travel across the UK and Europe as required for client engagements.
Qualifications
- Solid track record managing projects and teams on UK highways and infrastructure projects.
- Proven business development capabilities and ability to manage high‑level client relationships.
- Strong leadership, project management, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with UK engineering guidance, hydraulic design standards and processes.
- Experience working on hydraulic feasibility studies, detailed drainage strategies, flood risk assessments and Sc104 detailed design.
- Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers or a similar professional body.
- Full, current UK driving licence.
