- Produce reports, strategies and business plans to support informed decision-making
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, partners and providers to develop solutions and improve services
- Support and deputise for the Programme Manager, helping to guide and coordinate team activity
What will I need?
- Relevant degree and/or professional qualification
- Experience of commissioning within local authority or health services
- Planning/managing/co‑ordinating large projects or programmes
- Budget monitoring and cost control
- Working effectively with senior managers, stakeholders and colleagues
- Working collaboratively in a multi‑professional/multi‑agency environment
Our offer to you
We offer a competitive rewards package that includes attractive salaries, a generous annual leave entitlement of 27 days (rising to 32 after five years’ continuous local government service), membership of the contributory Local Government Pension Scheme, and a range of flexible working arrangements. You will benefit from a range of training opportunities and professional development. A culture of support and flexibility aims to promote a good work‑life balance.
Hybrid working
The council operates a hybrid working policy: a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote applies. The model is pro‑rated for part‑time roles and arrangements are at the manager’s discretion; alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
Equality, diversity, and inclusion
We are a proud equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from everyone. As a Disability Confident Leader, we actively encourage applications from disabled and neurodivergent people and offer support throughout the recruitment process.
