Children’s Social Worker – Family Support & Safeguarding

Cambridgeshire County Council is recruiting experienced Children’s Social Workers to join their Family Support and Safeguarding Team across Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely, and Wisbech.

Permanent role | Salary: £41,958 – £44,822 per annum | Hybrid working available | Retention payments | Relocation package up to £8,000.

Responsibilities

• Manage safeguarding and child protection caseloads.
• Complete assessments and care planning.
• Work with CIN, CP, and pre‑proceedings cases.
• Prepare reports for court and conferences.
• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Work within the Family Safeguarding Model.
• Ensure the child’s voice is central to all decisions.

Essential Requirements

• Social Work qualification (degree / MA / PGDip).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in safeguarding / children & families.
• Full UK driving licence.
