Contracts Manager (Retrofit)

Location

Contracts Manager – Bristol, Basingstoke or South Brent office, covering Chippenham, Royal Wootton Basset, Newbury and surrounding areas. Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours.

Overview

As a Contracts Manager for Novus, you’ll see the impact and improvements your role delivers to customers and the team every day, taking your job satisfaction to whole new levels. This varied and challenging role offers you the opportunity to work with and manage a skilled and professional team while mobilising a new long‑term retrofit contract in a secure environment and the opportunity to grow and learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Site Managers delivering retrofit works including solar panels, ventilation measures, insulation, windows and doors in a social housing setting.
• Ensure contracts are completed to programme, with zero defects, within budget, and with no risk to Health & Safety of the operation team, the client, or the public.
• Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including sub‑contractors) as determined by individual contracts.
• Manage site personnel, work activities and resources to meet contract requirements.
• Control individual contract progress, focusing on completion within time frames and budget.
• Ensure all necessary contract documentation and reports are accurate and produced on time.
• Attend monthly client meetings to review performance and future planning of works.
• Support the Retrofit Manager in preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, tenders and procurement programme development.
• Assist in the presentation of the contract brief to the client.

Qualifications

• Experience working within planned and retrofit works contracts, both internal and external, in a social housing environment.
• Knowledge of PAS 2030 & 2035 – essential.
• Preferably hold SMSTS, First Aid or associated NVQ; if expired, the company will support renewal.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DBS check.
