Job Description:

Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace. We are looking for a Business Application Lead to shape how technology supports the Lloyd’s market. The role sits at the intersection of business, technology and operations, partnering with senior stakeholders, change leaders and delivery partners to ensure our applications are resilient and effective.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders and operations; listen, challenge and help teams navigate priorities, risks and opportunities.
  • Define and own end‑to‑end service performance, resilience and cost; hold delivery teams and partners accountable.
  • Provide clear, timely management information on performance, trends and risks.
  • Lead resolution of issues, identify root causes and ensure lessons learned.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert on Lloyd’s regulatory, supervisory and operational platforms; support incidents, escalations and risk discussions.
  • Collaborate with Architecture teams and Accenture to ensure solutions are feasible, well designed and aligned to enterprise standards and strategic priorities.
  • Act as the link between internal teams and strategic suppliers, manage escalations, support contract discussions, define and track KPIs, support cost optimisation.
  • Support introduction of new applications and services, review and sign‑off, and prioritise business‑as‑usual, small change and transformation work.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in IT applications and services within Lloyd’s or the wider insurance market.
  • Senior stakeholder engagement with confidence to influence and challenge.
  • Knowledge of Servicemanagement and ITSM frameworks (ITILv4, COBIT) for Incident, Problem, Change and Release.
  • Experience managing third‑party suppliers and service agreements.
  • Experience in application and service ownership across complex environments.
  • Strong data analysis, reporting and performance management skills.
  • Budget management, forecasting and cost optimisation experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft technologies (O365, SharePoint, Teams) and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Curious, focused on outcomes and comfortable owning responsibilities.
