Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep customers running. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables affecting the supply chain and are looking for talented people to help us maintain safety, security, and limitless capacity at the lowest cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resolver for data center infrastructure challenges.
- Work within the Data Center Operations (DCO) team to maintain IT infrastructure and hardware.
- Develop expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting scenarios.
- Lead resolution of infrastructure issues and coordinate with solution teams on complex cases.
- Help drive continuous improvements.
- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and own safety initiatives.
- Diagnose hardware and network problems and perform physical repairs.
- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Manually handle and lift equipment as required by regulations.
- Work rotating shifts (morning/late/night) and weekends to maintain 24/7 operations.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for off-duty emergency calls.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience in networking and troubleshooting.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Preferred: Experience in Linux and networking protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP, and Linux OS and network troubleshooting.
