IT Technician – Full time, 37 hours per week – £25,685 per annum – Burton on Trent, Town Centre Campus
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the College’s diverse IT environment.
- Provide professional, responsive, customer‑focused support to end users across computing, display technologies, telephony, and printing services.
- Install and support IT technologies, diagnose issues and resolve faults efficiently in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Support Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, modern web browsers and a range of hardware and mobile devices.
- Support Apple macOS and Windows Server environments (advantage).
- Provide on‑site support at the College’s remote locations – a valid UK driving licence is required.
Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience installing and supporting IT technologies.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and modern web browsers.
- Confidence supporting a range of hardware and mobile devices.
- Experience with Apple macOS and Windows Server is an advantage.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Willingness to work towards or evidence of Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
