Summary: Are you an engineer looking for a new challenge? Do you want to use your expertise to help deliver essential capital projects and make a real impact on a vital service? We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on managing the multi‑disciplined, technical and engineering aspects of projects, from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, schedule and coordinate assigned engineering projects.
  • Monitor compliance with all applicable codes, practices and performance standards.
  • Interact daily with clients to understand their needs and represent them in the field.
  • Perform quality control on all aspects of the work, including budget and schedule, and report on project status.
  • Assign responsibilities and support the project team.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and other participants to provide technical assistance.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions where needed.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to gain approvals and facilitate projects.
  • Be flexible and prepared to perform duties and other tasks within your capabilities.

Qualifications

  • A degree, HNC or HND in an engineering discipline.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership (CEng).
  • Proven working experience as a Project Engineer.
  • Experience in a water distribution or similar industrial background.
  • Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and how it is applied to projects.
  • Strong understanding of the various NEC contracts and their application.
  • Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
  • A valid UK driving licence.

Salary: From £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
