Senior Data Privacy Analyst – Legal – Commercial Team, responsible for embedding a strong, practical and forward‑looking data privacy culture across Lloyd’s Corporation.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert, pragmatic advice on data privacy matters across the business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure data privacy obligations are understood, embedded and managed effectively.
- Support projects and change initiatives by championing privacy by design and identifying risks early, delivering clear solutions.
- Manage and deliver Data Privacy Impact Assessments, supplier privacy assessments and associated action plans.
- Assist in the investigation and reporting of personal data breaches.
- Manage Transfer Impact Assessments and advise on lawful cross‑border data transfer mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate records of processing activities and data flow maps.
- Act as the point of contact for privacy queries, including managing data subject rights requests within statutory timeframes.
- Produce meaningful management information to support risk oversight and decision‑making.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and translate them into practical, business‑relevant insights.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of UK and EU data protection frameworks, including GDPR, UK GDPR and DPA 2019.
- Strong experience delivering DPIAs, data flow mapping, ROPA maintenance and data subject access requests.
- Confidence advising on cross‑border data transfers, including SCCs, IDTAs, adequacy and TIAs.
- Ability to explain complex privacy concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
- Collaborative approach with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively.
- Experience working with privacy management tools (OneTrust encouraged).
- Professional privacy qualifications (e.g., CIPP/E or CIPM) welcomed but not required.
- Experience in insurance, the London Market or another regulated financial services environment is advantageous.
